The shotgun is an extremely versatile firearm.  It has many applications from sport shooting to hunting to home defense.  In this class we will explore the anatomy of a shotgun, the different types of shotguns, ammunition, slings and carry modes, loading and unloading, select loads, various shooting positions, the fundamentals of marksmanship, take down, cleaning, and safe operation.  By the end of the class, students will have a basic understanding of the mechanics of shotgun handling and be comfortable manipulating the weapon.

This class will be conducted on an outdoor range.  Wear appropriate attire, i.e. pants with belt loops for a holster and pockets to store ammunition, a hat, a belt, comfortable boots or sneakers that you can move in.  Also bring sunblock and plenty of water.
